Alan Seath spreads his wings

Alan Seath will be leaving Lomond Group at the end of December to pursue pastures new. He has for some time wanted to devote more time to his political interests, and to pursue various consultancy roles, but there are only so many hours in a day. Resigning from Lomond Group, is a positive step that will allow him to commit more fully to pursuing both these options with his customary vigour.

As many of you will know Alan joined us from Fife Council in 2006. He took to working in the private sector like a duck to water, and has been an invaluable member of our team in recent years. Through a challenging economic period, Alan has helped us to diversify our interests in to the broad range of development and leisure businesses which now fall within Lomond Group. He has also taken a leading role in helping to widen our political exposure and to develop partnerships with a broad church of organisations from both the public and private sectors. Not least he has added a sartorial vibrancy to Lomond which will surely never be surpassed.

Although Alan’s focus will be elsewhere in the future, we fully intend to forge a new relationship, which will see Lomond Group retain Alan’s invaluable political and planning advice in a consultancy capacity.

It is with considerable thanks and sadness that we see Alan leaving, but we wish him bon voyage on his new journey wherever it takes him.
