Caskiewaves
Radiowaves and Fife Council have been working together since 2004 to build a vibrant and safe, online community for all the schools in the region. This long term partnership has enabled staff and pupils to develop their skills over time.
Radiowaves was rolled out to one hundred and forty seven schools in the region. This was supported by an extensive CPD programme to ensure staff had the skills and confidence in podcasting and social media to integrate Radiowaves into their school effectively.
Radiowaves is used by the majority of primary schools and all secondary schools in Fife both within the curriculum and Out of School Hours Learning. It has become an integral part of the Local Authority’s Literacy Strategy.
Caskieberran Primary School began its Radiowaves project in 2007 and the success has been remarkable. Today it is run by the CaskieWaves club members from primaries 5 to 7 and Mrs. Cloy.
