Dundee Hotel Rejected

This compact site has always represented a development challenge given its size, ground conditions, employment land zoning and airport restrictions. However our consultant architect Ged Young of Aim Design has created an imaginative and striking design on a key route into the City. The theme adopted for the design took its inspiration from air travel and the views across the Tay River. The fuselage exhausts of the World War 2 Spitfire, and the elegance of the aircraft’s wings influenced the design and are reflected in the appearance of the bedroom wing. Additionally, a tower mirrors the airport control tower and will afford panoramic views of the Tay Estuary, bridges and the Fife coastline.

We will continue to work towards delivering what we believe will be a key and complimentary asset to Dundee’s Water-Front driven renaissance.
